Champs Qualifying
ALL swimmers age 11+ are eligible (and encouraged!) to attend the TSA Championship meet.
Unfortunately, due to restrictions on the number of volunteers we can have at the Champs meet, we have to limit number of 10&U swimmers we can take to the TSA Championships. Swimmers meeting the qualifying times listed below are automatically eligible. Others may be asked to attend based on performance and/or to compete in relays. Swimmers competing in relays can also swim individual events.
Preston Village prides itself on how well we represent the Tiger Sharks team at the TSA Championships. TSA Champs is a massive meet, spanning 2 days in order to support all the events and heats for nearly 100 teams to compete. Because the meet is so large, we have created qualifying time standards in order to attend.
How does a swimmer qualify for TSA Champs?
Swimmers are eligible to attend champs if they meet one of the following conditions:
- Have competed in at least 2 Dual Meets, and meets one of the following criteria:
- Age 11+
- Meet the qualifying time standard in at least 1 event
- Invited by the coaches
If any of those conditions are met, your swimmer is eligible to swim 3 individual events at champs in addition to any relay assignments.
